"There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!" - Mario Savio

Hey folks. I need a job. Anyone know a good one? While I was in Honduras, I read about 90% of F. Scott Fitzgeralds "the Beautiful and Damned". While it's not as good, in my opinion, as Gatsby, it's a pretty good read. Is it worth 450 pages? Probably not. But it's a good story. It involves two twenty-somethings during the "jazz age" who blow money, time, effort, and life while partying and alcohol. Pretty typical fitzgerald themes. A good book, none-the-less. I picked it up trying to read something of his other than Gatsby, and I wasn't dissapointed, just not as pleased. By the way, did you know that his full name is Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald? Strange but true.

Buenas, gente. I am returned from Honduras. The trip was incredible. Describing it here won't do it justice, but in the two weeks i was there, we: Went to the Mayan ruins in Copan, went to Cortes and saw an old spanish fort, went to the world cup qualifier match in which Honduri beat Mexico 3-1, went to the Bay Islands (Roatan, specifically) and snorkled, and had a lot of fun in San Pedro Sula, Denise's hometown. Anyways, the trip was great. I got to meet most of d's old friends from high school, who were all really cool. Plus, I love to travel land see new things, and there were many new things to be seen down there. It was beautiful country, great food, fun people, and awesome culture. Needless to say, i dug honduras, and can't wait to go back again!!!!

I picked up a cd today by the, well, only Tulsa Hardcore band, Brother Inferior. I found it at Mohawk Music (51st & Sheridan) for like ten bucks, and it has, um, like 38 songs. It's basically all the stuff they recorded between 93 and 97, and has a ton of good stuff on it. If you know me, ask me about it, and I'll explain further. Until then, let me drop a line from them, from the song Bending Over Backwards (one of denise's all time faves) "I promise to be good (bend me over, bend me over) And do the things I should (bend me over, bend me over), Be a quiet little boy (bend me over, bend me over), A governmental toy (Bending over backwards!)"{

Alright, folks. I'm back from the northwest, and i had a blast. Portland, as i said, was gorgeous. We happened to be there during the Rose Festival, which is like a big fair and city celebration. I got to ride some cool rides and saw some really cool fireworks, which are completely wasteful, yet i really enjoy. We then went from there to Victoria, British Columbia, which was really pretty. It's a tad touristy for me, but it was a nice small city. And, my sister and i met really cool people at a restaurant that we hung out with on Saturday night, so we felt local and had a lot of fun. Then, we went to Vancouver, which was pretty, i guess. The downtown skyline was not near what I had hoped, but i still thought it was a rad place. We went to an aquarium that had balooga whales, and i got to play disc golf up there, which was way cool. We ended up in Seattle, which was very nice. I would really like to spend a lot more time there, b/c i feel like we only tapped into about 4 percent of the city, but i really thought it was a great place. Anyways, the trip was cool. I'll scan some pics onto my website so you can see some of them. But it was a great time. I leave on Tuesday for Honduras for two weeks, which i am soooooo psyched about. I know for sure that I'm going to the Bay Islands, the Mayan ruins in Copan, and a world cup qualifier match which features Honduras vs. Mexico. So, yeah, i really can't wait. It's going to suck when i return and i have to grow up and get a job. bleeech.

Hey people. I'm sitting in Port Angeles, Washington, waiting for our ferry to take us to Canada. Portland was the bomb! Beautiful country up here. But, i'm paying to do this, and i'm almost out of time, so i'll give you all the full story when I return to Tulsa. Peace!
